Michael, May 2020
Dear WHS juniors of 2070,
I am writing to you from May of 2020 when the Coronavirus Pandemic is at a high. These last few months have been very transformative and have shown me all of the little day to day things that we take for granted such as being able to be near other people or breathing without wearing a mask over your mouth and nose. During these times I have grown to miss many things such as, being able to see friends, being able to exercise normally, going places, and even going to school. I am thinking that in the near future we will begin to return back to normal life slowly, but with many drastic changes in the ways we live our lives, such as maintaining social distancing and wearing face covers. Two months back nobody knew that the virus would spread to this degree and changed life in so many ways. When we first were told that we would be away from school, it was for two weeks. The date at which we would return kept getting pushed back until inevitably, we were told that we would not be returning for the remainder of the academic year. Life has changed in drastic ways and it's hard to imagine us getting back to normal life with crowds and being close to others after all of this.
